Celebrate the holidays, or any day, with this set of handmade star ornaments, including two small stars and one large star. The stars are first carefully cut out of a slab of white porcelain clay. While the clay is still moist, lace is impressed into the ornaments, creating a textured design. After the ornaments are kiln fired once, the lace impressions are hand-colored with underglaze, and the ornaments are coated in a protective clear glaze. The stars are then fired a second time to over 2000oF producing the final decorations. Read more about our process here.
The star ornaments are currently available in 4 colors: white, blue, red or green. Our glazes are non-toxic and lead-free. If you would like the ornaments glazed in a color not listed here, please contact Blue Willow Studio. We are always happy to work with you to create the perfect piece for your project!
Due to the nature of our tile making process, color and size will vary, adding character and interest to your final project. Each piece is truly unique!
