Celebrate the beauty of the winter season with this handmade snowflake ornament. The snowflake is first carefully cut
out of a slab of white porcelain clay. While
the clay is still moist, lace is impressed into the center and tips of the snowflake, creating a textured design. After the ornament is kiln fired once, the lace impressions are hand-colored with blue underglaze, and the whole ornament is
coated in a protective clear glaze. The
ornament is then fired a second time to over 2000oF producing the
final decoration. Read more about our
