Add a bit of sun to your coffee table with this unique coaster set, decorated with original designs using the
sgraffito technique. The tiles are first
hand-formed from a single slab of red stoneware clay. While the clay is still moist, a thin layer
of white liquid stoneware (slip) is brushed onto
the face of the coasters. The designs are then meticulously carved through the slip to reveal the original contrasting clay color beneath.
The Sgraffito Sun Coasters are glazed with translucent colored glazes, and fired to over 2000 degrees F to ensure long-lasting strength and beauty. Our glazes are non-toxic, lead-free, and food safe. Cork on the back of each coaster offers slip resistance and prevents scratches.
Due to the handmade nature of the Sgraffito Sun Coasters, colors and size will vary, adding character and interest to the final product.
